LaxUp is committed to building great kids in underserved Denver communities
through the sport of lacrosse and existing programs and institutions.
Our goal is to develop competitive lacrosse teams and players, while providing the
necessary structure and connections to deliver participants with expert guidance,
character-building, and th tools for academic success.
LaxUp will actively engage with all members of the lacrosse community (local and
national) to maximize support, and identify and leverage as much opportunity as
possible for boys and girls across the program.
Key elements of the LaxUp Program:
A key end goal for LaxUp is to provide structure and guidance to open doors for
kids to attend and ultimately excel in college or in a trade.

- Deliver expert coaching for developing top-notch Denver lacrosse players
- Partner with Boys & Girls Clubs and other institutions to develop lacrosse
within their organization - Leverage lacrosse to open doors for at-risk kids across Denver
- Provide integrated assistance (within Boys & Girls Clubs, local schools,
and outside) - Counseling (life guidance, high school and college applications, etc.),
- Alignment with other organizations (e.g., Porter-Billups Leadership
Academy)
- Academic assistance and guidance for middle school, high school, college
- Work with these schools and other organizations to provide tutors,
mentors, lacrosse camps, lacrosse mentors - Develop relationships with high school coaches across the region to
provide seamless support structure - Identify best options for advanced academic kids
- Elevate elements of life that will lead to future success: schoolwork, family,
diligence, focus, discipline, pride, sportsmanship, work ethic, team attitude - Lead year round programming to ensure growth and involvement in all areas
of the program - Involve, train, and empower adult members of inner-city communities to help
build our new lacrosse communities - Tie in with related dynamic and aligned programs and individuals in Denver
to maximize success
